Frequently asked

Do I have to subscribe? No. The first seven days are free. Afterwards, nudge pro is needed only to add new tasks. Everything you already have stays fully editable.

Where are my tasks stored? On your device and, if iCloud sync is on, in your private iCloud database. Nobody else can see them.

What does the email import do? Connect your Gmail, Outlook, iCloud Mail or any IMAP mailbox in Settings, then send yourself an email whenever something comes to mind. nudge turns emails you send to yourself into tasks: the subject becomes the title, the text becomes notes and attached files come across as task files. A subject like “Idea: plan the autumn weekend” also tags the task Idea and keeps the rest as the title. When the same note arrives again, it joins the task you already have, adds only what the task does not already have and moves it to the top of the board. nudge only reads your inbox; your mailbox is never changed. Gmail and Outlook are connected by signing in with Google or Microsoft with read-only access.

How do I disconnect a mailbox? Settings, Email import, Disconnect account. That removes the stored sign-in from the keychain on your device. You can also revoke access at any time in your Google or Microsoft account settings.

Why am I not getting reminders? Check that notifications are allowed for nudge in iOS Settings, and that reminders are switched on in the app's own settings. Reminder delivery is a per-device switch.

Can I use nudge on iPad as well? Yes. With iCloud sync on, the same tasks appear on every device signed in to your Apple Account.
